Greetings fellow artists!

My name is Jessica, I prefer Jess though. I’m 22 years old and reside in Miami, FL. I’m a Graphic Designer (graduated from Miami Dade College with both an AS and AA degree). I’ve been doing Graphic Design for several years now and am proud user of Adobe products since CS2 was released. At the moment I’m currently pursuing two Bachelor of Science degrees from two different Universities, at the same time. I’m working on an online BS in Web Design & Development from Full Sail University and a BS in Information Technology from Florida International University. I believe being a well-rounded individual with several different skill sets and knowledge gets you further in the media design industry, rather than just knowing about one subject. I’ve always liked IT and was an IT Academy Completer in my High School and although I know some web basics, I aspire to learn more about the web, both design and development wise. Not only do I want to apply my Graphic Design skills to be able to do Web Design, I want to be able to know how to make everything work in the back-end as well. I know that having various backgrounds will help me be more marketable in my future.

The future is going towards being more digital and the various use of technology is a standard in our daily lives now. Google is one of the companies I dream to work for in my future. They have their goals set in mind, always striving to think outside the box, and consider their employees as a family and not just of another employee pay check they’re writing off at the end of the week. It’s my goal to be working for Google at least 10 years from now.

My personal mission statement: To achieve my goal in working for Google and being successful in my future personal & career endeavors, I must put forth maximum effort in every learning outcome and freelance opportunity that comes my way; leading me to build a portfolio with a wide range of project mock ups and gain valuable experience to showcase my skills and abilities for my future employer(s).

I aspire to go to Japan someday and hopefully live there for at least two months to emerge myself in the culture and lifestyle. It's quite an experience I think would be wonderful. Asian culture is so fascinating. Learning the Japanese language is also something I plan to work on, hopefully before the chance of visiting Japan.
